Okay so I got the new Bold 9900, and I've barely used it so far. But why is the battery so shit??? It's literally run out within 48 hours without even pressing a button?
My old Blackberry curve has been on for like a week and it's still three quarters full!
Any ideas?

new phone, more powerful internals, bigger brighter touch screen. maybe the battery needs a couple of full cycles to really get going

I'm lucky to get 24 hours from my 9900 with a fair bit of use.
You have to remember these smartphones are powerful devices, and always connected to the Internet, so it won't last forever. I can assure you it lasts longer than an iPhone though!

I charged my iPhone this morning.
It was on standby for 4 days 15 hours... And yes I do make calls/text/use the Internet and apps etc.

Bluetooth, wifi, gps, 3G and games all drain the battery.

3G and WiFi rape most phones.
My phone lasts around 5 hours after a full charge, charge it 2-3 times a day now, use it a hell of a lot though.

I must admit if I use that Draw Something app or any other game for that matter the battery goes down quite quickly

5-10 mins a day goes on a game or sky sports whilst taking a dump. Unfortunatly this is also in percentage
