just been to the apple shop to get my laptop looked at (got a dead pixel)
had a play with the mac mini because i quote fancy one if they update them next week. however it was plugged into a 27" tb display which looked amazing! im not into spending that much and anything 27" and 1440 res from other manufacturers is still over £500.
so is there aythin around the 24" mark that will look as good or better?
ive found this which id probably plug in via a hdmi-thunderbold cable and then run hdmi-hdmi to my tv

Getting a Mac Mini and then buying a Thunderbolt Display defeats the object of buying a Mac Mini

Miles better than Apple's attempt, but sadly not nearly as sexy looking.

thats why im not getting thunderbolt. the mini is easy to upgrade internally, and cheaper to replace because i dont need to buy an all in one i can just replace the computer.
and i want to use it as a media centre behind the tv with the monitor plugged in for any uni work, and plug my laptop into the screen too.
mini fits my needs better
