Expected March, May or September?

My iPad is broken and want another. No point buying one now if its out next month though.

I know release dates are never concrete, but an estimate would be ideal.

Nah its buggered. Thought the screen had just smashed, so changed it, but internals must also be broken. Won't even power on. Was an ipad 1 anyway.

Why don't they just have set dates when releases come out!

Edit: Answered my own question there, so people don't wait for the latest model. Apple tossers.

get a refurb ipad 2 for £340. you'll sell it for £300 when the new one comes out if you want to upgrade.
refurbs have 12 months warranty, come with a new screen, back case and battery

Retina screen and iPhone cameras are pretty much confirmed, talks of LTE (only ever needed the wifi only one myself) and A6 processor. Possibly slightly thicker due to the bigger battery and depth of the retina screen.

Pretty sure thats enough to warrant calling it the iPad 3 but who knows, they didnt officially call the iPad 2, 'iPad 2' until recently....it was just called 'iPad'.

iClarrified have pretty much confirmed retina iPad displays been made for months!

Hopefully out March / April so can get one in US.

resolution should be higher but i bet its not true retina, but apple will say it is.
ive seen a few reports that theres isnt a manufacturer who can make the retina displays to the volume apple need.

Just sold the iPad 2 within about 10 mins of advertising it, some Chinese dude just turned up to collect it.
