I have an old laptop with an eSATA HDD that I want to transfer data from.

Would one of these work?

Are you sure it's eSATA, that's external SATA?

That would work but you'll need power as well, better buying one that also powers it, it'll have a second longer connector.

Sorry it's a 2.5" drive with sata connection.
