Hi everyone :-). Keep getting intermittent problems with my eml on my corsasport. Sometimes when I give it some the eml will come on and it sort of runs a bit lumpy. Even after the car has had a service. It has only been doing it since I had the inlet manifold changed. I've done the paperclip test and it came up with fault code 0400. Which I believe is egc valve?
Was just wandering whether or not to either take it off and give it a good clean or take it off and blank it? The car has done over 90k and I doubt that anyone has done it yet tbh. Just a bit apprehensive about blanking it off as I have read on some other forums that it causes other big engine problems later down the line? ANy advice would be marvellous. Cheers.

Make a blanking plate for it mate out of some metal, mine ran so much smoother with it blanked off, smells abit rich out the back but I've got decat too! I never had any other problems and I've had blanking plate on for we'll over a year now

Cheers mate. Yeah mine has got full exhaust so a bit fumey anyway. Bit weird how some people on other forums claim that blanking their egr gave them other engine problems in the future.

It's only there to bring emissions down, I've blanked many off on all different engines and its always had a positive response

Does it not leave the EML on if you blank it off?

Cool cheers for the advice lads. I've bought the blanking gasket off ebay. Will I need a new gasket when putting back together?
