It's a brand name product that has an inflated price (about 200% I'd say), but that doesn't make them bad.

It's a quality product and they sound great. If that's what you're after, then you can't go wrong.

Thing that annoys me about them is the fakes are just as good if not better than the originals and can be had so easily which has massively devalued the brand for me.

Probably not to you and me, but for people who want the latest fashion accessory they get pretty much what they pay for.

You can quite easily get 100£ cans that will sound better, but not look as cool or be as recognised on the street.

No i understand that they're a fashion accessory but even still, i personally don't think they are that great of a sounding headphone - bottom end feels slightly exaggerated/excited to me.

theyre really not. ive got some real solo hd's and a mate bought some fakes, the difference in sound quality is shocking. they look ok if all youre bothered about is looking cool.

i got mine for £130 in a john lewis sale which is about what theyre worth, i woudnt pay the £170-200 theyre sold for most of the time.

DONT buy from amazon, theres still plenty of fakes on there

too many people have listened to them once on the displays in hmv etc where theyre plugged into a distribution box with shit sources, and slag them off for sounding shit.

Depends on the grade of the fakes, I have some grade AA fakes and a genuine pair and I can assure you there's no different, if anything like I said the fakes are better. Granted there are some bad quality fakes too.

Got mine from argos for £118 and a free £10 gift card. they sound best when worn in a bit, plus it helps if you like bass heavy music.
