Hmm we had a couple of threads about this a year or so ago?

It really is going to need some serious gameplay tweaks and some innovation to make it something special. Otherwise it will have the same problem as AVP as in it plays like the PC game of 10 years ago.

I enjoyed that game but only because i'm a fan but it just wasnt special enough.

Agree with SetH - Don't want another AVP.

Need to work on the multiplayer, build up a rank system for all the classes to keep people playing it.
Will probably come out with limited campaign and then smack some DLC out there right away.

Yeah looks like it needs a lot of work there

Seems too static when your shooting and doesn't seem scary at all.

Has some nice lighting and looks but nothing special.

looked fine

they put iron sights on top of the pulse rifle but never saw any ironsight action.. I dont get this with games.. we have had iron sights now for years, why not put them in? (unless they are then ignore that)

the original AVP had me jumping all the time i hope this follows suit.

The problem with this game is, that if someone is attacked in an Alien movie, they don't survive.
In this game, the aliens run up to you, stop, and then scratch you with their claws. In reality the aliens should be like Hunters from L4D2. Once you're attacked you'll only get up if someone kills the sucker before you're dead.

Very true, I remember an old alien game on the ps1, was pitch black for most of the time and you had the little motion sensor on constantly, would hear a little beep and then you wouldnt, then it would be from the opposite direction and then an alien would be up close attacking you, was pretty scary at the time.

Looked way to easy there to kill aliens, he just stood in one place shooting, didn't have to move at all, pretty boring looking, would rather it be a survival fps where you take massive damage but most games now are pretty easy.

I pre-ordered it on the 360 and got it y'day. Am a big Aliens fan - and had to get this - and although you can notice all the work thats gone into making it 'right', there is so much that hasnt been done to make it right.

I got Dead Space 3 on friday too and thats a really well done game - this game should have gone to Visceral in the first place because they know how to make a scary game - which is how it should be.

Shame really. I'm gonna plug on and play it with mates though, its a laugh to just get on and shoot some shit up with the pulse rifle
