Hi all,
Bit of a problem, my macbook isn't responding. I'm a novice when it comes to things like this so any help appreciated. It won't turn on, basically.
It will charge, though, well, then green light comes on anyway to indicate charging/fully charged.
It's about 4/5 years old now....
Thanks a lot.

What year model is it?
If you press and hold the power button does anything happen?
Anything when you connect an external monitor / mouse / keyboard?

What exactly happens when you press the power button? Any sounds from the machine or speakers?
When off the charger, try pressing the button on the underside (on the battery, iirc) and see what it shows.
Missus had a dead battery and for some reason couldn't turn on the laptop, even when on charge. Worked fine, when the battery was removed.

iPhone message!
Okay thanks! It turned on, made the noise, showed the white flashing light at the bottom... I saw the apple sign on the screen and the spinny thing, then it went dead and the screen went blank????
