You will have an airlock in ur coolant system for sure. When did u do it? Have you driven it since?

I did it yesterday and then drove from bristol to birmingham and it was fine. A few hours later after fitting the audio I started it and drove off then noticed it wasn't getting hot?!

Checked the thermostat isn't stuck open?? Does the temp gauge stay in the normal position when driving?? Or is it low down until you stop, then climb up when the car is sitting still idling??

Nah it runs just above 90 and behaves normally! I just can't think what it could be?

Run the car at idle, remove the header tank cap and bring the revs up to about 1500rpm for 10secs two or three times. In between, while its still idling, squeeze all the coolant hoses. If it's an airlock that should sort it.

I take it you've got a 'B' Mister Sport?

I can't remember if it was on a 'B' or a 'C' but last year I had the same problem on a Corsa. Whipped the thermostat housing off and the thermostat had sort of exploded and part of it had jammed itself sideways. Fitted a new one and it was good as gold.

Also, do 'B's have a plastic impeller on the water pump like the shitty ones on vws and audis?

If so. that'll be the next thing to check.

Oh and did you definitely use the correct coolant?
