If you buy a brand new unsealed iPhone off eBay is there anyway that the seller can get it blocked in a few months time so they can make a fraudulent insurance claim? Just wondering how much of a risk it is

They have 100% feedback and have sold a lot of phones of various makes when I look back through their history.

Anyway to protect myself from it happening aside from not buying in the first place? Can I register the phone with me so only I could block it for example.

Just noticed they are a business seller

Do they just unlock them for free without having been with them or anything.

Can have my sim free one for that.
