um,thats what i thought when i got my sport, mine sets when you lock the door and the light on the console flashes, but im trusting that it works cos i dont know how to test it
Is there only one glass break sensor (in middle of map reading light) cos when i got my car there was a loose one in the glove box ,and i dont know where it came from
any ideas?

the sensors in engine bay for the alarm..
as for checking to see if it works. use the fob to activate alarm and just use key to open door. youll soon see if it works lol (dont do this in middle of night)
cant really test immobilizor if it works as they only activate without using the keys. (i think)

Alarm is only activated by an optional remote or by turning the key to the horizontal position.

WTF is a glass break sensor??? That thing between the courtesy light is for the ultrasonics and detects ANY movement within the car. Press the small button on the left to disable the ultrasonics if you have a dog in the car etc.

Test it lock it with key/fob till deadlocked. Open up your boot which can be key opened I think. See if alarm goes off. Or try engnie bay one as suggested.
Only was test imobiliser is get a spare key cut, just the metal no chip, cost £1 from local key shop. It'll work no doubt mine does as I got the spare key just to get in the car.

if the alarm doesnt not arm and your dead locks don t work. the door lock is broken there is a switch which arms the alarm and deadlocks common fault i have found
