Right this is doing my fucking head in because it's actually preventing me from playing with my mates as I can't connect to certain people!
My connection says open on my Internet settings on the one but strict on AW! I've gone into my router settings, enabled upnp and I've now set up a thing on my router that opens the specific ports to cod which is what everyone's been saying to do on numerous forums and still no luck
I'm with plusnet and granted I don't have fibre optic, I shouldn't be getting strict nat type!
Anyone help?
I'm not 100% sure I've done all the port things correct because I really don't understand it but I followed the instructions on portforward.com

Have you turned off the router since doing all that?

Well, that's the limit of my IT knowledge! I had this same problem on one of the older CODs, possibly Black Ops, iirc it fixed itself in the end.
Glad to be of help

Setup your router with your console as your DMZ and see what happened?

I think i did do that! My router is a Thomson one and it's called assign something with your router so I assigned my xbox and no difference

What Console?
Just had a quick Google and this came up, site to see what ports need to be opened: http://portforward.com/cports.htm

Remeber having NAT issues back when I got my PS3 and COD4. Christ what a nightmare.
Wasn't solved completely until I switched ISP for an unrelated issue.

Just thought id update incase anyone else ever has this issue. Had an IT friend look at it, he opened all ports, checked i had done everything, then did a bit of research for me and found out that the Thomson router i was using wasnt compatible with my xbox one. Phoned up Plusnet who said they dont use them anymore and it was out of date and sent out a new one, just set up our new technicolour one and NAT type has gone straight to open
