Make sure you use a good primer, an MDF one will be good. Don't scrimp on primer, usually if it's cheap its shit.
What finish you wanting on it? Emulsion or a trim paint?

Well iv learnt something new !
The brilliant white and magnolias I use is b and q home brew stuff in the big tubs coz it's cheap never had a problem with it really
I had a problem recently with a wall I stripped the lining paper off previous owner must of had some plastering done underneath so I rubbed the wall down smooth wiped it with a damp cloth let it dry then rollered it magnolia when I got the bit where it had had a plaster repair bits of plaster kept flaking off lol pissed me right off!! Like ojc said

It will be emulsion on the interior  something bland

Put it this way, not mist coating new plaster is like not priming wood work, it might look good and you'll be over joyed with how quickly it gets done but if you knock into it and need to make a repair a small job ends up being huge.
The Poles usually don't prime or mist coat hence why they can do a job for half the price in half the time. Wonderful for developers absolutely shit for the home owner after a year when paint starts blistering off the walls.
