ACC is ace. Works better on DSG too cause it slows you down to a stop, and will set off and change the gears too. Where as I'm pretty sure ACC on the manual cancels when gear changing.

Clear traction control error and give it a decent polish are pretty much only remaining jobs.

Got Steering Angle Sensor fault finally cleared today. £20 at a Renault diagnostics place, wasn't just a code clear - they had to zero the sensor again as it was showing 80,000 odd degrees

Unfortunately on the way home, my EML came on

Code scanner shows it's the post cat sensor, and car is quite clearly decatted. I've not had EML all the time I've had the car, so I can only assume that the diagnostics tool reset something that's caused it to come on again.

I reset it with my tool, hopefully it'll stay off... if not, what are my options?

Put a Bung in the lambda boss. Cable tie the lambda up out the way
Seen a few people on the forums doing that and it seems to work.

I reckon I'll space it out first, but if that fails I'll go for the bung route

Car actually drives pretty well with traction control working!

Probably a longer drive that caused the ECU to try and use the post cat Lambda.

What is the fault code? as the sensors are common as fuck on these.

I'm a Renaultsport specialist so see these everyday!

P0420 I think.

The bloody thing did 6 hours Essex and back to pickup the Lotus so if anything, thought it would have been that trip to cause it!

Car usually does 7miles at a time, so 40mins to DDC for the code reset is a little lengthy I guess.

Been to chippy and back in it since clearing the EML and nothing back yet

IIRC thats just a cat not working code, so not sensor. Try a extender!

Yeah I just see your Elise thread! Came to pretty much my front door!

For what it's worth the previous owner of my Clio had removed the post cat lambda and I had no end of odd emls and slight rough running.

Refitted it (new sensor) it was SO much better. Smoother on idle, better throttle response, better mpg, quieter etc etc. No more eml's either.

Actually I'll use my eyes... I can see it has the spoiler and splitter plus the grey wheels so I assume it has both Cup packs...

Yeah man both packs I think.

Jambo, I'll keep that in mind with regards to the post cat lambda. Went to see some friends approx. 20miles away, still no EML. Off out tonight maybe another 40miles away so we'll see how it goes.

These crappy bumper "quick release" things are doing my head in, sick of people asking what they are and then having to explain that they're a totally tasteless aesthetic modification. Considering ripping them out and blanking the holes with some cheap rubber grommets... not sure what'll look worse though...

Do those QR fasteners actually serve any purpose apart from being sCeNe (shite)??

Nope, bumper is still fastened on like normal. They look shit, not even the previous owner could defend them. Said he regretted it as soon as the drill touched the bodywork

Just learned that the Leon delivery date is going to be a month earlier than expected, and as a result I need to shift the Clio sharpish.

Only outstanding job really is to replace windscreen as it's got a nasty crack. I've already booked in with autoglass on my insurance but they can't do it until the 22nd. Would really like the car to be at least listed for sale by then, so if any CS'ers are interested please feel free to get in touch and we can sort something out.

Will be listing for £2200 but £2000 will see it go to a CSer

Does anyone know if this Clio should have the "update list" or "tuner list" radio in it?

I bought an OEM radio off of ebay for it as the aftermarket one is a bit naff, but it doesn't work. (powers on, but no display on the screen and won't let me put a code in).

Didn't waste any time on it tbh mate, just threw it in the boot in a box.

Lad didn't even test drive it, I picked him up from the station in it - drove him back to mine and he had a quick look round then that was that

I would love some seats like those for the corsa, don't know why people get excited over the sports and gsi seats with their mouldy designs
