Ok I'm after a new engine for my Corsa, as the old one is past it & needs replacing...
Only thing is I'm Giving it away in January to my friend on her 21st Birthday, so I need something which I can afford to insure it for her for 1 year, and also which she can afford to own... Sadly though I doubt I'll be getting another Corsa, as I have my eyes set on the car in my garage 
So here is a 'short list' of possible Engines.. (The old one is a C14NZ)
So what do you think would be the best option for her?? 
Mainly looking at running/insurance costs & also reliability!

i would put the same as came out, even if u stick in a smaller engine the insurance will rise due to the fact its had a conversion.

true that is one thing to look at! But I'm still un-decided, is why I done this post tho!
Just wana get it all sorted by Christmas (bodywork, engine, interior), so really need to make my mind up 
I would ask my friend, but she doesn't have a clue about this, so its best not to!

well as soon as I get some money from me new job, the engines gona be bought & chucked in once the car's been all smoothed & sprayed.
Will effectivly have 4 months to sort it all out

and yeah I'm sure I'm gona be givin it away, least then I know where it's gone & it won't get destroyed unlike selling it to some complete stranger who will probs just wrap it around a lamppost or something! already had about 4 ppl come to my door asking if its for sale, all 17yr old nova-boys and the car's look like there held together by all the crap & muck on them!
Have 2 cars on the drive, 1 Sierra estate which is for sale, and cos the Corsa's had the plates taken off so they can't be copied, ppl think its forsale Think I'm gona put a new sign in the Corsa sayin GTF if ya thinkin of askin if the Corsa's for sale
