I've just found out the Carsa vs Saxo day in an old Redline. Here are some of the cars specs and times:-
Dave Patterson 2.1l 16v
throttle bodies, almost rally spec.
0-60 4.97 seconds
0-100 12.47 seconds!!!
1/4 mile 13.75 seconds
Steve Barley 2.0l 16v
SBD throttle bodies, manifold, group A exhaust.
0-60 6.58 seconds
0-100 18.2 seconds
1/4 mile 15.6 seconds
(I would guess that this is possibly not mapped properly due to the fast 0-60 time and the average 0-100 and 1/4 mile time - average for the engine).
Lisa Hurst 2.0l 16v pipercross filter 157Bhp
0-60 7.09 seconds
0-100 18.34 seconds
1/4 mile 15.5 seconds
Nikki Harverson 2.0l 16v superchip 160Bhp
0-60 7.38 seconds
0-100 18.21 seconds
1/4 mile 15.45 seconds
Andy Hamilton 1.6l 16v list a mile long of engine mods
0-60 6.04 seconds!!!
0-100 14.52
1/4 mile 14.65
Davys (from Redline) 1.6l 16v lots of mods 151Bhp
0-60 6.39 seconds
0-100 18.73
1/4 mile 15.3

Really! 14.6! what was the spec of your car when you ran this time? was it stripped out? what engine mods were you running?
Thats the sort of time I'd like to achieve when I get a 2.0l Corsa up and running. When your hitting mid 14's it means you can hold off Subarus and Evo's etc.
If anyone has any recorded times please post them along with the spec of your car.

miles what is ya spec i wanna tune my 1.6 16v to break high 14's, i am getting hold of a re-built C16 XE in a week or two to replace my knackered on, its got stage 2 ported and polished head lightened and balanced crank and flywheel, new 2mm pocketed pistons, oversized big end bearings and will have a mantzel power box with full system manifold the lot bolted on. Do i chip it and add nos or dump the inlet manifold and get throttle bodies, also what cams should i get with these pockets cheers

C16XE
Pocketed standard pistons (60tho pockets)
Head skimmed 25tho to compensate for the piston pockets
Jenvey 40mm parallel tb's
DTA management
Piper Fast road cams
Ported head
Vernier pullies
Janspeed manifold
2" system
90mm trumpets
black top fuel pressure reg
Vectra Fuel pump
Balanced bottom end
lightened flywheel
deseemed rods
Tb's will be more expensive than a chip and nos. Dont bother with nos, its gay.
