the big circle thing? cos its makin a woorin noise, and i was wunderin if it had any thing to do wit ma car hesatating

its to do with the egr thingy.
mine made a woorin noise too, so i took it apart and sprayed some wd-40 on it (its like a fan, it also had some crap in it, so i cleaned it out aswel) and its now stopped

Its secondary air injection, for getting the cat upto temp quick when the engines cold, only runs for a few mins.

nah its nothing to do with teh egr valve as corsa3.0v6 said its to get the cat up to temp quickly form cold start and is supposed to make a noise

Its just the filter on the Secondary Air Injection Pump, the rest of it being a pump.
It whirs until the the engine warms up, at which point you hear a click (the relay turning it off) and the revs drop.
Just there to add air into the exhaust to burn any extra fuel off in the cat (save it clogging and blowing up).
Not required if u have a de-cat!

i have a decat, infact thinkin about it i aint heard it in ages i think! 
should i just leave it there? or rip it out?

obviously  but i wont notice the difference! so i may as wel leave it in!
