My g/f has just bought a CD player for her Corsa B, and wants me to put it in for her.
Is it easy to do? I think I will need an adapter lead???
Does the plastic bit that the OE headunit sits in come out, and need to be replaced with the metal one supplied with the new headunit?
Cos i had a look and I thought that if it wouldn't come out then there porbably wouldn't be room for the adapter.
I wanna check before I try it, cos its more than my life is worth to cock it up! lol
Cheers

first, you need to take the old one out, you need some iso keys to take it out.
then the standard cage comes out and has a 10mm bolt down at the bottom of the cage undo that and the cage will come out.
then you need an adaptor lead depending on your new head units make, if it is compatable with iso you need a vauxhall to iso adapter they are £12.99 from halfords.
fit the new metal cage bend its tabs etc then slot the new head unit in easy!
also you might need an adapter for the aerial there about £3
good luck

to be honest you could buy a lead for £12.99. But all it does its swap the red and the yellow around. Something which most people can do themselves for free (well maybe 99p for bullet connectors). The wires that came with the sony...do they have a bullet connector in the middle of the red and yellow wires?

Cheers, I'll prob have a look at doing that, but if it seems too tricky, £12.99 isn't a huge amount I spose.
