Hit a kerb last week after skidding on ice, and i've put my original sxi alloys back on after the mechanic said it would be safer.

Anyway, theres obvious damage on the outside of the wheel, but doesn't seem to be any damage to the inner wall of the wheel. Is there any way of testing?

Take it to ur local garage m8 who fit the tyre, they ll put it up on there fancy machine and spin it for ya

depending on damage if its cracked then id get a new wheel if its just kerbing then it can be repaid for £25 to £50 depending on how bad and if its buckeld then u need a new wheel

had a look and there isn't any sign of a crack, and couldn't see any obvious variation in shape so

the kerbing is pretty bad so i'll prob have to get a new wheel anyway, but worth a try.

you might be able to straighten it.would take it to a alloy refurb specialist they will tell you

I wouldn't risk it, not unless you get it x-rayed to check it

i tried hammerin mine out
not as bad
got it refurbed but can stil see slight curb on edge

my alloys was pretty badly curbed, took it to a wheel place near were i live and he put it straigh well round for £30 quid
