my timing belt recently snapped and was going to cost loads to fix so i got another engine.
the engine is exactly the same x14xe. including the labour of stripping the original engine and fitting the new one how much am i looking to pay?
i asked for a price before he carried out the work but said he would have to work it out. now i think he has finished the work but hasnt givenn me a price yet. what can i do if he gives me silly prices?

ur fucked mate.
He can basically charge ya what he likes.
Find out his hourly rates and find out the time involved. Get a break down of all the new parts that were purchased. Totall it up and take it to another garage before you pay it.

he is going to charge 150 plus the price of a timing belt cos i dont want it snapping again.
