just put my konis and eibachs on and i have a question i need answering

where the rear strut comes inside the car my old setup had one nut which was tightened all the way and squahed the rubber gromit flat, however with my koni's the instructions show that the gromit should not be squahed,

so should the gromit be squashed flat or not? dont seem very safe leaving the gromit unsquashed if you know what i mean??

how do i know how tight to do the nuts up??

look in Haynes, it should have a torque setting. Compressed rubber washer would probably give slightly tighter handling, as apposed to softer would give a SLIGHTLY more forgiving ride. DONT do the top nut too tight as the treads are quite easily stripped. I'd imagine it would want about 40-60Nm?

did you put the original rubber part back on the under side of the rear strut ? because you are uspost to replace is with a smaller round gromit/rubber thingy. I had the same problem.

i put the gromits below and on top of the chasis that was supplied with the kit, will run it for a while and see what happens!
