hi guys, i have got the VIBE CBR12TWIN subs for those of you who dont know what they are there 2 x 12" vibe subs in a ported box, all together rated at around 500 w rms (250 w from each sub)
now, i have bought an amp which is made by an american company called insazze ( dont know how its spelt ) the amp is rated at 600 w rms,
cant remember what the guy said on the phone but he said that it will work ! (i hope so)
i need to know if ,,1 sub = 4 Ohm's 2 subs = 2 Ohms
is that right ? and will this all sound good because i have been told by the guy it will sound brilliant but there just there to sell you things, any help is much appricated
cheers Rob

All you gotta do is run 2 sets of wires from the amp, 1 set to one post on the sub, and the other set to the other post.
Voila, parallel wiring.

the cbr12 vibe twin sub box is 350watts RMS per sub so that makes 700 total watts of RMS power.

There's a difference when wiring it up tha tmakes the amp run at either 2 ohm's (if the amp is stable to run at 2 ohms) or 4ohms.
To run 4 ohms (usually standard) all you do is wire up each sub to it's own channel on the amp.
To run 2 ohms (as I said if the amp can do it) is to wire up the amps in series. To do this, wire one sub up as usual (the amp shouls have stickers hsowing which terminals to use for single channel) then wire up the other sub from No1 sub (i.e. positive to positive, neg to neg) this will run your system at 2 ohms, and theoretically double you RMS output (but be careful).
I did notice your subs are 250 W, but your amp is 600 W. If you go full pelt a lot, you could risk blowing subs!
Hope this helps gadge.

the box is already wired and has 2 sets of terminals on the side, each with a 4 ohm load.
And overpowering the subs by 50w aint gonna be a problem at all, much better than underpowering them.

its a 2 channel amp by the way,
600 w rms x 1 @ 4 Ohms
300 w rms x 2 @ 2 Ohms
150 w rms x 2 @ 4 Ohms
i think thats right.

Thats no good, you will be under running both subs by 100wRMS a piece.

Still gonna be under running the subs each by 50wRMS, may not seem like a great amount but it will make a difference.....
