Right if I get the Alpine MRD-M500 to power my 2 x Alpine SWR-1041D wot is the best way to wire them up?

At the moment i have an MRD-M300 powering just one sub. I have it setup to run at 2ohms off the diagram provided with the sub but there is no diagram showing how to wire 2 subs to one amp. anyone help me? with a diagram if possible?

If both ya subs r the dual 4 ohm voicecoil versions as im sure they r from the model number uve given then u may hav a small problem.

2 dual 4 ohm subs means ya amp wil c either a 1 ohm load (Parallel) or 4 ohm load (series) depending on how the subs r wired.

It is possible however to wire to make 1.6ohms but this is slightly more complicated, altho of course do able.

Your best gettin your self a 1 ohm stable monoblock amp to b honest mate. If memory serves me right ya subs r 300rms so an amp giving out something around the 600-800rms mark at 1 ohm wud b good.

Look at Kenwood and Jbl as i no they make reasonably priced 1ohm stable sub amps.

Keep us all posted if u hav anymore thoughts or questions

Car Audio Direct r always a good place to look as Rob has.

The KEN-KAC8151D mono amp isnt really powerful enough for your 2 subs being 500rmsx1 lik Rob's.

The boy gave good advice and at £279.99 the KEN-KACPS811D is a good amp for your set up.

I have space for 2 MRD-M300 amps. This is what I was originally going to do but was told that this wouldnt work. I cant see why it cant work though? So if I get another M300 it will all work ok? cos if it will then this is what I will do.

i would either get 2 mrd m 300's and keep your subs or 1 mrd m 500 and change the subs for 1021's, i prefere the first option personally
