Just happened. Don't have a haynes manual to hand as the ex took it when she left!
When i go to indicate the display on the dash stays on and does not blink, the indicators outside the car do not work at all
What is the problem, and how can I resolve it?
Many thanks

try checking connections on your battery too, i hadn't put on back on tight enough and it caused all sorts of funny things
check fuses too

taking it over a few bumpy roads seemed to sort it out.
think it could be a wiring fault but as it's being sold shortly I couldn't be bothered to investigate further

Sounds like you hazard switch has come loose, check that it works if it doesn't then your indicators won't work!
