Ive got a bit on an engine management problem...

The light is coming on intermitantly, its losing power and the sensitivity of the throttle. Whrn the light is on it also idles at approx 1,500rpm

Does anyone know of any problem it could be, or is it a Vauxhall diagnostic jobbie?

search for ECU diagnostics, u can get the codes ur self mate without going to vauxhall

theirs a guide on www.top-buzz.com or something like that

Sounds like stepper motor or knock sensor.

Idle Speed Control Valve, thats what was wrong with mine when this happened

Does anyone know where the idle control valve is on a 1.2 16v?

Im not entirly convinced about the ICV theory, because it is losing power at high revs too. Is it posssibly some king of fueling problem?

I can see a mega £££ trip to Vauxhall coming...

The light is on on my dash on aswell, when the light comes on it goes into emergency mode which effects fuel consumption and power, that wud explain it running shite like mine. im gettin it sorted next week tho.

It now hasnt done it for a few days.

I fecking hate tempramental electrical problems. Hope its cleared itself up.
