Got a c14se lump in my sri, running well.. but having to put oil in it (again) wot we lookin at and shud i just put a new lump in... already had headgasket, cam etc forgot to mention my licence reads like a novel from endorsements so have to curb my need for power at the mo

Yeah should be able to find a decent one with box and loom for just under 4oo notes....normally quite a few for sale on mig or vxscc they would drop straight in aswell

it'll be valve seals that have gone mate, i didtch my 1.4 8v SPi when this went rong, not worth the bother, stick in a xe. could get it in for about 600 max

Whats wrong with your old one then? I have a 1.4 but not SRi, i.e. multi point injection. Just need, head, inlet, loom and possibly crankshaft/pistons to convert it, well just sell me the lot.
