my engine is filthy, the best way to do it is to jet wash isnt it? but ive never done it so id like to know that its safe, could someone please tell me if its ok to do? i wont do any damage will i? my car is a 2003 sxi.

but the usual, cover all electrics in plastic bags or similar and jet wash it, or leave it running

i nick someones steam cleaner.............u can get an engine degreaser too, which u spray on then hose off..

Vauxhall did mine for £8. The only thing they covered was the bfo cone, and did quite a good job.

I have steam cleaned mine keep it of your electrics and keep the engine running, but don,t say that i said this is ok i did this once on my nova and the dissy cap was verry wet and would not run

i use degreaser on the engine, then just use the hose and a stiff brush, no point using a pressure washer, guy up the road went through his cambelt with the pressure washer lol.

it's fine to jetwash the c engine all the major electrical stuff is covered up and you can't blow the cambelt off as there chain driven

make sure ya spray all electrical stuff with wd40...hn cover them...it wil kepp the moisture off them...also spray insuide ya dizzy cap....will stop water poentrating that aswell
