on emissions test. 1st Fast idle test failed and just barely passed with 0.30 CO on the second test.
Now tbh i aint got a clue when it comes to engines, but its been a bit dodgy for the past month or so - (jumping about as if the clutch was playing up but wasnt, etc).
Anyone know any possibilities of what this could be and how it can be sorted?
No engine management light but I'll do a paper clip test in the morn for fault codes if any. Its a x12sz by the way......
Cheers

sounds like a partly collapsed cat, if this is the case it will be sucking ur performance and will eventually make the car undriveable if ur not careful! get it sorted m8

Cheers guys!
How much you reckon for a new cat and lambda sensor and where from?
As i said before, I'll check for any fault codes the ecu may have thrown up - but no management light has ever come on....

Just read the fault codes and everythings OK. Plugs dont look as if there fouled either.
Didnt notice this morning on start up that a white smoke from the exhaust. This a sign the cat is dead? Dont do it any other time while driving or changing gear, etc.
Think its wise to replace the cat and lambda sensor at the same time if it is this causing the prob?
Cheers for all the help guys.

if it is the cat, dont buy a proper (vaux) one,
get a universal cat for aroung £80 and get someone to plumb it in for you

Big Col - Yeah the cat was up to temp - I had to drive it around a bit because it was booked in at vaux at first, but they couldnt get the car on the ramp to do the test
