why do people always mock the 12v they are nippy little cars, im happy with the speed of mine atm i can easily hit 100 (without it shakin to pieces) but no more than that. back to the question you should be able to but there wont be any gain maybe 1-2 bhp but it will sound alot lot louder.
and once again stop laughin at the 12v

Thanks mate I'm not mocking 12v actually I'm very pleased with the fuel economy I get (over 50mpg) I was just trying to forestall the usual replies. Anyway if only gaining 1-2 bhp then there's no point and I'm not worried about how it sounds. I'm a bit surprised it's such a small improvement though, oh well doesn't hurt to ask.

erm.......i`m a 12valve owner, they aint bad, and cheap petrol.
anyway, decating..... you`ll find a problem if you look under the car.............no cat in the exhaust sections! lol the cat is in the manifold section. you can fit a full system which will lose the middle silencer and i found did make the car more enjoyable

on the initial question, its not worth your while decatting it - just spend the money on making it look good

it takes 19s to hit 60mph so i very much doubt you can 'easily' hit 100mph
they are not nippy cars

They have a higher power output than the 1.2 8v too
