howdy all!

As the title suggests, I'm looking at replacing all the speaker wire in my car ready for a new head unit and front speakers (will work on sub later).

Anyone on here do this kind of work? If so, how much.

Cheers for looking

just wanted to get some idea of how much it would cost thats all mate.

Bought some Alpine components that should be here in a few days time, got my eye on an Alpine MP3 head unit too.

Will probably keep the old wires, like i say just looking for a rough idea of what it would cost me.

cheers mate

lol at least you admit that it was a pile of shit!

Yeah this one is going good thanks, pleased with it. Getting it colour coded soon and getting the boot smoothed over. Should look good.

well if you find one end of the speaker wire and tape the new wire onto it with quite a bit of tape then just pull it through from the other end?? What I'd try first tbh

only major problem is the connector block on the door, which is a pain in the arse to wire anything. But loads of people have just drilled out a few spare pins and fed the wire down

eitherway, to replace wire i would say it would take a good day to do the front (quicker if you can pull wire through) and the back is slightly harder

we both made a mistake, i shouldnt have bought it, you shouldnt have sold it. But it's all water under the bridge now, managed to sell it for 3600 so didn't do bad.

yeah i did lol... couldn't be arsed to move it though.

Yeah it's a pain and thats one of the reasons why i dont want to try it myself, I wouldn't have a clue what im doing and i'm not really familiar with electrics or anything like that. Would rather pay someone to do it for me and not f**k it up.

tbh mate, i would just tackle it yourself with a haynes manual...will take a weekend, if you take your time about things only mega problem, like i said is the multiplug on the door (just make sure you buzz out pins, or see if there are any blank pin holes) and take your time drilling it out. Also, make sure the wire you get isnt too thick to fit down the tubing, but also make sure its decent stuff as well otherwise you mgiht as well have used bell wire

as long as you take your time mate, you wont fuck anything up therwise it will be quite a pricey job to do
