Ive have just purchased a set of lowering springs and dampers and have fitted the rears. When I drive the car the wheel is hitting the inside of the arches on the passenger side. I have cut back the arches and flaired them out but this has not helped any. I have not put the plastic trims on so cant be them. It seems that the two centre coils on the springs are touching. I rang evo and they said something about it being a progressive spring????? It is a 40MM drop and 17inch wheels offset of 38. Any help would be great. Cheers

they are rubbing because your wheels are sticking out 9mm than they should be. et 38 is not suitable for a corsa with that size wheels.

Halfords told me that I would be able to drop it more than 40 without any problems with that offset!! Is there anythin I can do with wheels themselves to sort this out???

cant you skim like 3mm off the wheels? any more and i think it gets dodgy

no dont skim the wheels, and halfords ob dont know shite.
ET38 is never gonna be easy to drop 60mm and not rub, SERIOUS arch work is required, a definate bodyshop visit.

Waiting for halfords to ring back to see if anything can be sorted out. only had them bout a month. looks like offset more suited to atras and cavs

corsas need 45 to have any chance of not rubbing low on 17's, they shud of told u this...

They said it would be ok at the time. They said they will let me exchange but because I bought them on special offer (£500) I will have to pay the differece of the full prce (£700) for a set with the correct offset

Sorted the wheels with halfords. Got replacement 16inch fox evo 3s with titanium finish free. not bad. Cheers for everyones help. much appreciated
