its hard to, its just a high pitched noise that happens when im going at a constant speed or have no pressure on the accelator at all. then when i put the foot down it stops

its called 'the missus' ... mine does it then I thrash it and it stops..

PMSL sounds just like my missus. could be clutch release bearing, is it coming from engine, gearbox, rear of car?

whining does sound gearbox/clutch related sadly
