im wanting to do a 1.4 sri to a 1.6 gsi engine transplant, what is needed for the conversion will i need to change the loom or anything or is it just a case of swapping the eninges over. any help would be great.

just put a manztel box and an in let manifold etc on the sri and it will be gsi power, but cheaper insurance

yeah its 16v but the engine needs a lot of work to get it running like new so i was just going to put a bigger one in easier

ive been told you need:
engine
gearbox
loom
manifold
cat
ecu
transponder and chip if it has one

If they are both 16v engines, then, GSi inlet manifold and AFM, loom, ecu and bottom end. The head is a swap as is the exhaust manifold. But for simplicities sake, the engine, gearbox etc.. is not needed.
