I am from ireland and i hope to buy a gsi in the uk early next year.What things should i look out for when buying one.I want to get one around the london area and what should i pay for one.What documentation should i get with the car when i go to buy one.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

look out for:
b-pillar cracks
rusted chassis legs
high mileage gsi's with little or no history
about £1500 to £2500

When the cambelt was last changed, if the person doesn't know or the figure is around 30,000 miles then change it before you even get a chance to drive the car fast...

Spot on. Poorly fitted digi dash if often a tell tale sign of dodgy mileage Check for wear on the seat bolsters and that should give you an indication of true milage

Thanks for the advice.Hopefully i will find a good gsi early next year.I don't want to spend more than £2000.I have a 1.2 corsa at the moment which has plenty of mods on it which can go onto whatever gsi i get.
