I'm thinking about having the conversion done from the standard 1.4 8v SRi lump, my questions are what is needed? Would the Corsa shell and chassis hold up to the stresses with a standard V6 lump? How much am I going to be lookin at to get someone to fit a C25XE in the car drive in, out? Is the chassis/ body going to need major mods to cope with the extra weight/torque of the V6?
Thanxs for any questions answered

You'd need engine, and gearbox. Although if you wanted to you could use a F20 and 20XE flywheel which would help it rev up quicker, (std flywheel 19kgs :O)
Also means the engine can be mounted more toward the middle of the car then.
Then shafts and hubs as per 2L conv.
And custom mounts.
And many cars have problems with getting hot running a V6 so possible an electric water pump to replace the std item, and let it run on for a few moins after engine is turned off to help protect engine.

3corsameal, yeah saw that, was tempted but couldnt afford to doit at the moment, couple of months maybe, but the other thing is I have spent a fair bit of money on replacing part that wear out at that age of the vehicle, so as a whole my car is quiet sound, plus its modified to the way I want it. Have to have a chat with Beardy me thinks...... ta for the advice

To make a front engine mount you need to get two steel plates, drill holes in them so you can fit the plates to the bock and to the rubber. Line the engine up with your crane or trolly jack so it is level - doesn't need to be exact, but it needs to be in place right. Touch weld the plates together then remove the bracket you have just made and properly weld it - add some gussets to strenthen it. You now have a mount. Seems a bit of a ghetto way of doing it seeing as you would pay so much for the mount from a company but I'm guessing this is one of the easiest ways of doing it...

made the V6 one out of cardbored and fiberglass to start with
1800ed thats how i did the 2lt 16v one its easy cost about £5 and works.
also aslong as u get the angle and the hole right u can always take it out and make a fancy one with the same angles
