Ok... Mine hasnt done it and its a 1999 sport with 59k on the clock and lowered since day 1... me mates hasnt done it with 59k on the clock and standard... but one of the guys in the office has a 2000 with 30k on the clock, standard and its cracked on the driver side???

They all do it, the only way to fix it is to weld in a metal plate

Yea i know they all do it... but what im wonderin is why??? mine is lowered and its fine... the one that is standard with less miles has cracked...

nope... but im sure we have all seen what it looks like before... thing is why do some do it early and others dont... ya would think that a lowered car would do it sooner as it may put more strain on the chasis...

My 1995 Sri doesnt have it, and its been lowered for 3 years now.....
Must just be luck of the draw

mine did it 1995 sri 94k, i just hit the metal in with a hammer welded it up ground it off and used some filer you cant tell now.

ok where the hell do these cracks appear exactly? I've heard alot about these but have no idea what peeps mean by the B pillar!
Any1 got any pics of the cracks?

The vertical pillars where your front doors close against i.e where they latch. They usually crack in line with the base of the windows...

between where the door shuts and the bottom front of the back windows, if that makes sence

tis a commom problem with them vauxhall should do it under warrenty also it is an mot fail as its with in a prescribed area (12" with in seat belt mount)

Think my girlfriends is cracked and has just passed an MOT with it like that as well. Mine is fine as far as I know.
