quick question are all speedo's with rev counter electronic or can you get cable driven speedo's with rev counter??

I've got basically the same car as you mate, got the clocks from a 95 sri, connected em up and thats it. Rev counter heaven.

CorsaAsh were did you find the green cable thing to make the rev counter work. I Have the dials at home just cant find the green wire behind the clocks.

You shouldn't have to do anything with the green wire... All you do is:
1) Remove old clocks, disconnect cable and electrical connector (green wire is part of this)
2) Fit new clocks, attach cable and electrical plug
3) Start car to make sure it's working then reassemble dash.

the green wire will on the plug that feeds the clocks
it will also be at your coilpack(if you have one)
my 1.2 8v merit had the wire there so i just pluged the dials with revcounter in and bingo
