they rekon they cant fot my back box as it has an extra pipe inside it the shouldnt be there

can anyone shead any light on this. its a remus back box, specifically for a corsa B - but it has the out side pipe conection, and then a smaller pipe inside this abou an inch inside, should this be there

or are they right of once?

yeah but they are colse, and i couldnt be bothered to do it myself!

greg difficult to see from that picture but can you put something inside and slide it down to find the drop off the other end of the reducer?

This would confirm if thats what it is

If so you could try cutting through it with a hacksaw blade very slow and tedious work though!

Who did you get the exhaust off? They could probably confirm!

i no the actual back boxes on most cars have like.....2 skins....an inner bit of metal...and an outer bit...all i can think is that its seperated away from each other

my brother had the same problem as this wen he went to get his new front section fitted to the back box and the guy had to use an inpact chisell to get it out,then fi another pipe in to reduce it again. its a bit of a bugger but dont go to quick fit. go a more local tyre and exhaust place, they tend to be easier to deal with and are cheaper.

bit of heat and that wud slip out well easy! obviously i have never done this myself but my local exhust place sorted my system out when they cudnt get it off by just heating the pipes up!

dont like the air chisel idea but, if you leave it with me i could get someone to get it out with a bit of heat!

i didnt like the look of the air chisel when he got it out but trust me it did a great job and only took about a minute to get off!
i would try heat first then at least you have that option if ur stuck!
