ok..... misses computer had 14 viruses(i used it for porn.......... joke) and avg erases 8 of them but the remaining it wouldnt erase, i looked them up but they were .exe files i could only find .ini files? i deleted them anyway.....is this the correct way to do it, where are the .exe files?

.exe files are what you use to open a program, you dont want to be deleting them

go to something nortons AV website and look up the virus name...they have external programs that get rid of this stuff

well virus's can be hiden in anything...inc exe files But the best bet, is to go into safe mode and run the AV again and see if it helps If not, go to a decent AV website and see if they offer any external programs you run to delete them etc - or they will have instructions on how to delete them atleast

start in saef mode then it will let u delete, if that fails then delete the entries in the Run key in the registry as it will be starting them on boot

cheers ill try this. running an avg again after my deleting spree, many of them were in temp internet files so they went along with everything else!
