oh nuthin... still havent done the clutch yet and its becoming extremely annoying such a waste of good power....
anyways i dunno how many clutchs were replaced on the engine before i had it 2 i know of but god knows before that... so how much matereal has be taken off during its various skims.... and rather than put a new clutch in and the problem still being there and then me going mental cos i didnt change the flywheel i'll just do the whole lot and eliminate it good and proper

Use a flat type Nova GTE/GSi flywheel. They are lighter to start with....

Im using the 1.2 8v fly wheel on my corsa(16 TB) when i get it running. The clutch is a little smaller but the wheel is a lot lighter

Dose anyone know the difference between the "pot" flywheel and normal ones on the older vauxhalls, novas and the such. The none pot flywheels have the gearbox with the removable clutch pannel so a new clutch can be slipped in with out removing the entire gearbox. Was just wondering because my sri has a pot type flywheel and wouldnt mind swapping it for the none pot type due to weight reduction and ease of clutch changes in the future.
sorry for long post
cheers sri14

Wont help ya change ya clutch as you still wont have the inspection cover on ya gearbox, your SRI will have a flat type flywheel i belive
Only SOME of the GSI's had the pot type, i was unlucky i had a pot type on mine
