Now i've got the bike carbs on the C20XE the ECU is doing nothing other than ignition. So the electronic limiter is no more....The car revs cleanly to 7500rpm (starts to lost power after this) but for obvious reasons I don't want to rev any higher. Also the rev counter only goes up to 7000rpm.

So basically I after a solution that will limit my revs...not sure how it can be done....any suggestions?

people like omex make standalone rev limiters which i think you can set at 100 or 500 intervals.

take a look at demon tweeks.

you can get an adjustable rev limiter,i got a micro dynamics one and just set it via the rev counter

Thing is do i have a single or dual coil pack?

just a quick question where did you get your bike carbs and things from and how much power have they added?

the carbs were fitted by a company in North Yorkshire.

The car is due a power run next Thursday so I will post up the figures once I've got them. The car does feel a lot quicker though. It does move peak power up the rev range.

When you hit around 4500-5000rpm you really feel it pick up and it pulls hard all the way round to 7500rpm.

At a guess i'd say probably about 20-25bhp extra power but there seems to be loads more torque and an extra 1000rpm to play with. Power doesn't start to drop off until after 7500rpm...

ahh thats great dude was it the bogg brothers in a little country place in middle of no where that did it as im hoping to get bike carbs from them for my xe'd chevette. let us know what power u get will be great to know

yep thats them mate. I'll stick the graphs up next week once its been done. Assuming i don't blow it up at the Pod tomorrow

lol u wont let me know how that goes aswell i wanna know how they perform, just wondering how much did it cost you to have them all set up and put on. and price of carbs and what not?
