At work today we have had a field remedy from vauxhall regarding replacement air filters. there have been cases where non-gen filters are allowing particles through causing failure of mass air flow meter's and engine damage. in the past people would just remove their k&n and put original filter on if there was a problem and take it down vauxhall. Vauxhall are now claiming they can prove that non gen filters have been fitted due to particles entering the MAF. so any vehicle that shows signs of non gen filters will have warranty thrown out. this apply's from all vehicles reg after 1st september 2004.
