Revs dropping will be ya car going in to limp home mode possibly, i used to boot my motor up to 7500rpm and the ecu would throw a fit saying injector valve high voltage as the rev limit had changed and it thought it was delivering too much fuel, which it was as it happens

If ya ECU light has come on it will have logged a fault, unplug ya battery for an hour to clear the fault code of it might cause ya problems, when ya start the car do it without touching any of the pedals for a minute as the ECU will read all the sensors and set its self up, some people say this is a waste of time but most might reccomend it. If ya wanna know what the fault is ya in trouble cos i bet the diagnostic plug was not wired in on the conversion, dunno what ya do about reading the fault as you can normally do it at home with a paperclip
