My car is going to be going in for a bit of paint and i was just wondering how hard it is for the bodyshop to remove the windows as i wanted it painted right past the seal and the only way i can see this been possible is if the windows are removed?

Can i get away with removing the seal from around the window, leaving the window in, having the paint work done then refitting the seal? Or is it not possible to do that?

Yeah the rears will be OK like that but the tailgate and windscreen not.

The front windows need the rivets drilling out on the mechanism but then its bolt off.

No reason why you couldn't refit the same back windows though, they come out with cheese wire and big gloves.

So cut the windows out with some cheese wire then rebond them in after. How hard is it to cut them out?
