Hi there I am restoring a 1983 Corsa outside is being done atm.
Pics:

Originally there is a 12ST (55hp 1.2litre 8valve) engine in it, which needs a complete overhaul. When doing that I want to tune the engine a little bit.
I shouldnot cost to much and the usability shouldnot be worse. The car wil be used to get the grosseries and big city (Rotterdam) use.
The idea is to fit an other cam, but which one and exhaust.
I already got a complete 13NB engine and exhaust system (incl. headers) for parts.
Twin webbers would be nice, but not usefull in day to day use I would recon.

I really wouldn't bother. For the cost of even the most basic engine mods you could drop any of the higher spec Corsa A engines in.
For what you'll gain I dont think its worth the money.

Yes, sorry Nova (= Opel Corsa).
And I want to keep the engine and chassisnumbers corresponding.
So I donot want a higher spec Corsa/Nova engine in it.
So what would you do then?

I was thinking about:
using the 1.3NB complete exhaust
Using the 13NB cam
using the 13NB carburetor

to be honest mate, you arent going to get much out of that engine in terms of performance increases. Your best bet would be to transplant an engine from another Corsa A like has been suggested. the GTE/GSi engine would be the flavour of the bunch. good for 100bhp and plenty of tuning options to make it faster
You could use the 1300 parts, since they share a common block, but dont expect massive gains from 1200cc's of engine.
