Yeah for any decent up to date games you will need a stand alone card of at least 128mb and up

Get the old (but still pretty powerful) Radeon 9800 Pro. They go quite cheap nowadays, and also consider getting a new motherboard. The ABIT AI7 is the one i have, and its never done me wrong. All together, about £120-£160. You're bound to find a deal somewhere.

Unless you do upgrade your motherboard, it's not worth suggesting a replacement graphics card unless you specify if your current motherboard is PCI-only, AGP, or PCI-Express...
Oh, and for those HL2/CSS fans amongst us, download the demo of the soon-to-be-released FPS game FEAR (First Encounter Assault Recon). Spooky and very atmospheric......if you've played Clive Barker's Undying, imagine a present-day version of that using a game-engine similar to the HL2 one.

The demo is available from a few places, I got it from here, because we have one of the mirrors in work (nice quick download, despite the 687MB file).

damn call of duty dont work either
what i dont understand is that minimum requirements say it needs 32Mb...
ive got 64Mb! and it still wont run.
my gfx does allow opengl, why does it need a seperate card if the graphics is sitting there waiting to be used?

Because the 32mb will be for a stand alone card with a certain chipset which yours won't have

And yours might not support dynamic texture and lighting, which most games seem to require these days.

If you want to play some games just pick up a cheapish card that meets the requirements of your favourite games
