is a bare let head same as a xe head also will let cams go in a head with xe valves going on a xe

the actual head is exactly the same. the turbo's allegedly had sodium filled exhaust valves.

basically, the only difference is the cams, you will have to run the xe cams as the duration is different on the let's. ive got an xe head running on my turbo engine just with proper re-profiled cams for an let

also compression ratio is much lower in Turbo, so thicker gasket

The pistons are different to drop the CR not the head.


I was under th eimpression all XE's have sodium filled exhaust valves, not just the LET.

I was under the same impression.

All the same except for the cams, and the xe inlet cam can be used on the LET.

i was told only the early xe's had sodium filled exhaust valves and all let's did.

there are far tooooooo many rumours surrounding different bits on xe's etc.

as above, piston heads drop the compression
