We have got the engine in and on the gearbox mount and drivers side mount but there is a metal bracket bit at the back that looks like it attaches to the engine, where the gear linkage is, should that all line up fine?
cheers

you will need a spacer between the mount and the gearbox bell housing, two long bolts will go through the mount and through the spacer then into the gearbox.

if you aint got a spacer to line it up, grind the lip off the black rear mount so it sits flush with the f20, then attach it to car. you wont have to fook about with yer gearlinkage then, just line it up once back through the mount

I'm with muppet, i grind the casing of the F20 it's nly a lug that;s not used needs reducing a little, then the mount goes straight on, linkage lines up as per haynes manual, and the engine lines up fine. serveal running round like that, it also takes the pressure off the short side drive shaft (which if you're goign to run cav/cally/astra shafts means no dead bearing )
