i have an alpine cd changer, chm 620 or something
can i get a lead to connect this to an ai-net unit 
or will i need a new ch changer that is ai-net?

Look on the alpine website to see if your changer is Ai-net compatable

Those changers are M-BUS.
You can convert AI - NET changers to work on M-BUS units, but not the other way round im sure.
