im sure i know what problem is but when i rev my xe and givin it some stick after backing off and slowing down i get a really annoying squeeching sound and comes on and off now and again.
my personal view is ive got lightweight pulley and think it could be hitting the cambelt cover as it sounds like a alloy to alloy sound but im askin what noisies the alternater/waterpump etc make
had new water pump 1000 miles ago when fitted so should not be that

is that all its done since i fitted it 1000 miles? that ally pulley was a poor fit i had to machine loads off the back of it to make it fit if needs be bring it up and we'll have a look

lol dan yeh bit more maybe 1200 lol
i cycle to work u see dude and my corsa was off road when got it back having bodywork done so its mint m8
the underbody was fully sealed and alot of parts like lower arms/arb/rear beam got powder coated etc but its having alot of use now dan so miles will build up, gotta say though dan my xe is one sweet lump so reliable and quiet etc
ill take cam cover off and see first m8 as if its that ill just chop it around and refit it so nowhere near pulley
